Hello beautiful families, I am Chelsea, a passionate and dedicated Midwife that specialises in providing education, postpartum care and support in the comfort of your own home. With years of experience and a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of the postpartum period, I am committed to helping women transition into motherhood, or motherhood again.
I believe that the journey to motherhood is a profound and transformative experience. It is my mission to provide meaningful support and compassionate care to families during the precious postpartum period. Better Together Midwifery is an Indigenous midwife-owned business that combines expertise, experience, and a holistic approach to ensure that you and your baby receive the highest quality care in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Better Together Midwifery also offers specialised services for before the baby arrives, giving us an opportunity to form a trusting relationship, plan for your postpartum period and prepare you for labour and birth. I strongly believe that knowledge is power, and that’s why I offer labour and birth preparation in the comfort of your own home. Come away from the session feeling more prepared, knowledgeable, confident and empowered. Planning for postpartum is key, and it will give me a better understanding of your goals, needs, wishes and roles of supporting people in your life.

By assisting with feeds & soothing, helping with housework, ensuring you are well nourished and hydrated, I can help you get some restful sleep, which is essential for your physical & emotional recovery.

Through assisting with household chores and baby's care, you are able to solely focus on bonding and connecting with your newborn and resting, reducing unnecessary stress and overwhelm.
Emotional Wellbeing
The emotional, mental and spiritual aspect to postpartum is largely overlooked by health providers. Emotional support is absolutely crucial for women when transitioning into motherhood or motherhood again. I aim to create a safe space for you to express your feelings without judgement and receive empathy, support and guidance in return.
Increased Confidence
I am passionate about empowering women to feel confident within themselves and as a parent, through providing guidance, education and reassurance. For those I support, I provide access to myself via text message in between sessions, providing more care and reassurance for you if you need it,

Labour & birth preparation in your home, breastfeeding classes online, postpartum planning session and postpartum support at home up to 12 weeks. This is a holistic model of care focusing on emotional and physical support, I do not practise clinically or do any testing or medical assessments on either mother and baby. However, I will refer you to suitable services, should you need them. Please see 'Privacy Policy'.
I am a certified midwife with a Bachelor of Midwifery degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, and am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
No, I do not practice clinically in your home. This includes procedures, tests, medications, vaccinations or any other clinical work.
Yes, you can enquire to book sessions as you need them, however this is dependent on availability and there may be a wait time, so it is encouraged to book in advance.
Every woman is different and will require more or less support.
To get the most out of our time together, I recommend at least 1 session a week for the first 8 weeks.
