Better Together Midwifery offers at home labour & birth preparation to create a safe space for you and your support people to get this best out of preparing for labour in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
This short but sweet 2.5 hour session gives you the opportunity to know everything you need to know, ask as many questions as you'd like, and discuss your wants, needs, fears and everything in between.
This intimate and educational session will equip you with the tools you need to have a positive and empowered labour and birth in a fun and light way.
Walk away from this session feeling empowered, confident and knowledgable about what to expect and how to cope.
Group sessions also offered on request.
Once a month, join Better Together Midwifery's online community and jump on a group zoom session to learn all the breastfeeding essentials.
First Monday of the month.
Plan your postpartum and set yourself for a smoother transition to motherhood.
Together we can work on how to make this time as calm, seamless and special as possible.
This session will help you prepare for the physical, emotional, and practical aspects of the postpartum period, as well as give me insight into how I can best support you.
During this session we will create a supportive network and structure that will meet your family's needs.
During our 60 minute home visits, the care provided will be based on your personal needs.
Our time together may include:
Birth debriefing & trauma support.
Breastfeeding support.
Bottle feeding support.
Maternal mental health & wellbeing support.
Postpartum wound checks.
Settling & sleeping support.
Newborn behaviour education.
Bathing & hygiene.
Guided gentle exercise, stretching & meditation.
Cooking, cleaning, babysitting & more.
This service allows for extra time to offer more support and ensure you get optimal outcomes from our time together.
Our time together may include:

Midwife for the day is essential for women or families needing increased support a much needed rest, reset and nurturing.
Kick your feet up and cuddle with your newborn as I make you something to eat, catch up on house work or help with your older kids to give you a break.
This is also a great session for a nervous system reset session and may include gentle exercises, stretches & meditation.
If you need some extra rest, I can look after your precious newborn while you catch up on some Z's.
Whatever you need in this time, I am here to equip you with the skills to cope, reassure you, empower you, and help you however I can.
